MUSIC

 

After several failed ventures with various musical instruments, James picked up a guitar aged eleven and never looked back. After playing in numerous teenage bands he decided to learn about the recording process and began training as an audio engineer. While studying for his BEng (Electronic Engineering with Music Technology) he additionally trained at Cube Media / BH Media music studios in York, working with local bands and solo artists.

 

While his professional focus moved to Film and TV postproduction he has continued to develop his skills as a music engineer, editor and mixer. Most recently he completed an full length original album, re-recording material from his old band in memory of their late lyricist and drummer. Blue Generation - The Album was fully self produced on a zero budget for a physical and digital release in May 2017, raising several hundreds of pounds for mental health charities.

 

James continues to perform on guitar and bass in various originals and cover bands, playing a wide range of genres for events such as wedding ceremonies & receptions, beer festivals and private parties. He has also gained a reputation for his pre-mixed disco playlists, providing them for several weddings and birthday parties.
